Leave the M5 at Junction 27, and follow the road past Barnstaple, Bideford and straight into Bude on the evocatively named Atlantic Highway (or A39!) Slightly less scenic, you can also stay on the M5 a little longer and leave the motorway at Exeter. Please use the postcode EX23 8LA for your Sat Nav.
By Rail
Alight at Exeter St David’s Station on the fast and reliable London Paddington to Penzance line. The journey from Exeter to The Old Bakery will take approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes by taxi, which we would recommend you pre-book in advance. By Air
The Old Bakery is within an hour’s drive of Cornwall Airport Newquay, and 1 hour 20 minutes from Exeter Airport, with direct flights from airports across the UK, Ireland, and Europe.
“We loved the tokens for the artisan bakery, thank you. What a treat! We had a local chef one night. We took turns in cooking and used the barbecue, and I made a lobster and crab paella one night, using the local fish shop you recommended.
